Drivers are skinnier (and dirtier), cars are a shadow of what they were a month ago (not that something like a Geo Metro was much to begin with), and teams have now raised over £390,000.
I’m still trying to find the teams associated with these, but there’s been some interesting stories that are starting to come out of the woodwork according to the official site:

Fighting off a golden eagle that took an amorous shine to a car-mounted stuffed chimp.
Swerving off the road to avoid a swarm of killer bees. Sorry, what was that? Just one bee, you say? One slightly grumpy bee? I bet it was big, though.
