It’s once again time to drive Europe and Asia crazy with a rash of tiny cars (they have ointments for that you know – I’m looking at you Bulgaria!).

The 2010 Mongol Rally sets off Saturday with the “Festival of Slow” at the legendary Goodwood Race Circuit, the annual home of the “Goodwood Festival of Speed”, beginning the adventure of a lifetime for the brave (and mostly naive) souls that have already raised a staggering £330,000+ for charity.

You can watch the FoS streamed live at about 4 or 5am (MST) if you’re so inclined from the official website.

Last year teams came well equipped – entering everything from a furry fire engine named ‘Dennis’ to a little car with a viking boat strapped to the roof (OK, it was a canoe with a sail and hubcaps for shields, but who’s counting?). What kinds of crazy inventiveness will we see this year? (see all past rally pics here)

As far as we can tell, there’s 6 Canadian teams entered this year (there’s probably more though), so give them all a proud Canadian “EH!”:
3 Blondes & A Beater” (Vancouver, BC)
Saskatchistan” (Regina, SK)
Strangely Green” (Montreal, QC)
The Ambeciles” (Vancouver, BC)
The Great Canadian Beavers” (Belleville, ON)
The Wicked Awesomes” (unknown)

I’m extremely inspired along with your writing skills as neatly as with the structure for your weblog. Is that this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice high quality writing, it’s rare to look a nice blog like this one these days..
