Those who managed to squeeze into a spot for the 2010 Mongol Rally didn’t just buy their teams a place. Teams will be privy to a number of events before the rally takes off next July:

Dec 6, 2009: The Legendary Adventurists Christmas Party

With enough Gin and Tonic to hospitalise an army this is the perfect opportunity to plan you impending adventure and meet your fellow adventuring chums.”

Feb 3, 2010: Afternoon Tea with Legends of Adventure
“For two years now we’ve been on a tireless campaign to bring back that most noble of tradition the Afternoon Tea. With great heroes of Adventure regaling their many adventures of fighting crocodiles, climbing the highest peaks of the planet and being swept down jungle rivers, the Adventurists’ Afternoon Teas aren’t just for your granny.”

Feb 27, 2010: The World Wide Afternoon Tea Revolution (Europe)
“As part of our life long mission to re-introduce afternoon tea to the whole entire world, we are doing just that. Although this year we can’t quite bring fine Earl Grey to all 6.5 billion of us humans – thus bringing the planets into alignment and causing an end to all conflict – we are going to be spreading the teabag shaped love around Europe and the United States.”

Jun 5, 2010: The Adventurists Tea Summer Picnic
“A one day festival extravaganza of tea and cake, glorious melodies, mud and a bit of off-road action to test out your un-sturdy beasts. Based in a massive country estate, tucked away in Wales, this is a mini festival like no other. A chance for all you Adventurists to gather together under the summer sun/rain and party till you drop.”

Jul 24, 2010: The Launch
Launching from 3 locations: Goodwood, England, Barcelona, Spain and Milan, Italy, the eastern hemisphere of the world has no idea what’s about to be unleashed upon them.

Jul 26, 2010: The Czechout Party
“For two years now, Czechout has rumbled away in the hills of Bohemia, a one night rally-fest like nothing on earth. Just after setting forth on the greatest adventure on earth, all the teams from all over Europe converge in the Czech Republic for a party that gets wilder every year. Live bands and DJ’s will fly in from all over the world to lubricate your ears, gin will flow from the rafters and a feast will spread out before you. This is partying on a scale that would make Genghis Khan turn green with envy. Beware the morning after.”

2009 and 2010 Adventurists Film Festivals (dates TBA at this point)
“In 2010 we will be holding the second Adventurists’ Film Festival showcasing the best of all the videos made from adventures past. You can also come along to the 2009 Film Festival to see what went on last time. Details of the festival will be released very soon – so watch out for the mailout!”
